The Knomo Charlotte 14″ laptop bag
Design *****
A contemporary design in Marine, a deep blue, well-suited for giving a professional image. I wouldn’t be ashamed to bring this out in a corporate meeting as well as the local coffee shop.
I also like the fact it didn’t scream “I’m carrying a laptop, please steal me” which is a feature I always look for in a laptop case.
Capacity ****
I have an 11” HP laptop which fitted in the bag with room to spare. I could also carry a slim notebook, magazine, papers and pens if I wished.
Trying to carry the charger was more problematic, it made the bag feel (and look) very bulky.
The second occasion I used the bag I had my 10” Galaxy Note tablet with me and could easily carry a portable bluetooth keyboard too as well as the usual stationery.
Well-made? *****
The Knomo Charlotte is an extremely well-made case. The zips are sturdy, the clasps for the shoulder strap solid and the edges finished to a high standard. I can’t see it coming apart for a long while unless seriously misused.
Does your laptop feel secure? *****
I would not have any worries carrying around any laptop or tablet in this bag. It is well-padded and you certainly would not need a sleeve protection.
Easy to carry *****
I only carried it by hand as I already use a shoulder bag for all my bits and bobs. The handles were great, they didn’t cut into my hands and felt soft yet safe.
Price ****
The Knomo Charlotte costs £79. It is a lot more than I would usually pay for a case, however when you consider the cost of what you’re carrying inside then the price could be seen as a reasonable investment.
Overall score 4.7 *****
Best for
The Knomo Charlotte is a bag for the ladies. I would say that, considering the lack of real space for a laptop charger, this bag is best for quick meetings where you’re only out of the office for a few hours.
I’d also like to point out that my teenage daughter has her eye on it once I have written this review. I would keep it for myself but my other laptop is 15” and just won’t fit no matter how hard I try 🙂
Thank you to Knomo for supplying us with a Knomo Charlotte for our laptop bag reviews.
The Knomo Charlotte 14″ laptop bag is no longer available and has been replaced with a new bag called the Talbot in grey, black or bordeaux.
