Coffee machine reviews for home workers – Nescafe Dolce Gusto Genio
Coffee machine reviews – best for a home working break
Coffee making is the most popular reason for home workers to take a break, and we’re often fanatical about how we make it and how we drink it. The following coffee machine reviews have been carried out by home workers with that purpose in mind.
Nescafe Dolce Gusto Genio EDG456-S
Design ****
The Nescafe Dolce Gusto Genio doesn’t take up a huge amount of space and has a bit of a quirky, modern look to it.
Easy to use ****
It is straightforward to set up, although written instructions would have been better than the diagrams provided.
Pleasant to use/nice ritual as break from home working **
It is quicker than instant coffee, and therefore not much of a break from home working. There’s no ritual to it either.
Easy to clean *
It should be straightforward but the water pours everywhere when you try and clean it, leaving your worktop flooded with water.
Economical to buy and use *
The Nescafe Dolce Gusto Genio machine itself costs about £100 and then you’re looking at about £11 for 48 capsules, so if you buy to try, it could be expensive if you don’t like the range.
Quality of coffee *
After a taste of the latte, the rest was poured down the sink. Even without the UHT milk provided, the coffee itself wasn’t that great and there’s a limited range available. Once the UHT milk was added it worsened the taste.
Stars overall ** 2
Best for
Someone who would like a quick cup of coffee and doesn’t mind UHT milk.
With thanks to Nescafe Dolce Gusto for supplying the machine for our home working coffee machine reviews.
