Carmex Classic Moisturising Lip Balm
Carmex Classic Moisturising Lip Balm
Taste *****
Eucalyptus and it makes my lips slightly tingly.
Texture ****
Quite thick initially but less so as it warms up. It stays on your lips for ages.
Fragrance *****
Mint & eucalyptus.
Ingredients/SPF *****
Petrolatum, Lanolin, Cetyl Esters, Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter, Cera Alba, Parrafin Liquidum, Camphor, Menthol, Salicyclic Acid, Vanillin, Parfum, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool, Geraniol, Citronellol.
All Carmex products are SPF 15 and not tested on animals.
Staying power & effectiveness *****
Carmex Classic Moisturising Lip Balm stays on your lips for ages. It’s very moisturising and very effective on dry, chapped lips, even in the middle of winter.
Packaging *****
Available as a tube or a pot with a screw top lid. I personally preferred the tube as it took up less space and was easier to apply. Apparently Carmex have recently redesigned their packaging to reduce the environmental impact.
Price & value *****
The tubes are available in supermarkets and pharmacies for £2.60, or less if they’re on special offer. Considering how long each application lasts and how nice it makes my lips feel (even in the middle of winter) that seems like a bargain to me.
Overall score 4.8 *****
