io design, Edinburgh
Amazing….I have lots of ideas as to how I’m going to use it and right now, I’m looking forward to furnishing it.
‘The client brief was to build a multifunctional space that could be used for different things at various times of the year, all year round. Although a very traditional building material, cedar shingles used as cladding gives the io design Studio a very contemporary look and feel, requiring minimal maintenance.
Bifold doors and large windows give a light, airy feel to the inside while allowing unrestricted views of the mature garden.’ It’s good for the soul!
Smart Garden Offices
‘Smart Garden Offices have launched a brand new range this spring: the exciting Ultra, the third range in the company’s portfolio.
The Ultra boasts the same robustness and rigidity as the renowned Suffolk Barn range. The crisp wooden lines of the Ultra enjoy a synergy with the traditional construction, to create a simply stunning garden room, with a contemporary look.
The Ultra offers some fantastic features:
Floating walls – this innovative design means the beautiful cedar cladding remains light and modern.
Feature insets – just as a gemstone is set into a necklace, the cedar sinks into the timber frame, with soft timber elements.
Back lighting and puddle lighting add a modern twist.’
