Garden Office Spotlight is back
This is the first edition this year of our popular sponsored feature, Garden Office Spotlight. In it three garden office suppliers showcase a recent build or popular design from their range.
We hope that you’ll get some inspiration from these buildings, whether you’re planning your own office out in the garden, or looking for design ideas for your home workspace.

Cabin Master
‘Cabin Master built and fitted this 4m x 3m garden room in the garden of a lovely Derbyshire home. The customer wanted a space of her own where she could escape to do her craft work.
The room is rectangular with cream UVPC windows and doors. The customer wanted the room to be light and airy, so it has been fitted with two Velux roof lights and two side windows to let in as much natural light as possible.
The building is made using slow-grown redwood, it is insulated so it can be used all year round and is painted with a seagrass stain and preservative. The decking was built at the time of fitting.’
Homestead Timber Buildings
‘Homestead Timber Buildings supplies three sizes of garden room in DIY kit form. The kit is delivered in prefabricated sections that can be handled by two people.
The buildings have factory-fitted double glazed doors and windows, and you can specify door and window positions when you order. The flat roof has a 30 year guarantee and we can also supply an optional insulation package.
The kits come with comprehensive step-by step instructions and start at £4000, a great choice for the budget-conscious home business owner wishing to create an office in the garden.’
SIPS Garden Rooms
We practically live in our “research shed” (as we sometimes call it) these days. Very happy!
‘The two architects that commissioned us to build the steel clad garden office seem to be very pleased with their SIPS Garden Room after a summer and a winter of occupancy.
As you can see from the photo it’s not a traditional internal finish, with hardwood engineered boards on the floor and wall which have been oiled with a protective coating.
Steel cladding and internal surface mounted sockets and lights add a further quirky/industrial feel to the overall feel of the garden office.’
