Top reviews of 2013

Top reviews 2013Did you know we review products and services used by home workers?

Our reviews are carried out by busy home workers looking for great quality, value and usefulness.

We look at online courses, office products, how to keep warm, laptop bags and coffee makers.

Top reviews that attracted the most visitors last year

1. De’Longhi Icona Pump Espresso Machine – most of our coffee maker reviews are on page 1 of Google when you search for them by name, but for some reason this attracts far more visits than any of the others. I suppose it must be one of the biggest sellers on the market. Find out why our home working reviewer gave it 4 out of 5 stars.

2. Scaramanga 13” Small Wide Leather Satchel With Front Pocket – the term home working is a bit of a misnomer now that we can work on the move and in so many places outside the home. Posts about the best bag to use when mobile working always attract lots of comments, and this cute but practical bag got almost full marks for a girly way to carry your stuff.

3. Scaramanga Medium Overlander 16″ – the men are obviously also looking for a stylish but spacious bag. This larger version of the satchel above was judged by our reviewer to be perfect for ‘a design-conscious chap who likes to carry plenty of gear but not look like a geek’, and again scored almost top marks.

4. Ideapaint – see above. Francesca Geens of Digital Dragonfly raved about painting her home office wall and then writing on it! The thought seemed to capture the imagination of home workers, and the link was shared many times over on social media. This is a good one to check out if you feel your style is cramped by being being restricted to a sheet of paper – think big and draw on the wall!

5. Maxi Charger iPhone5 charger case – despite being a comparatively recent review, this one is pulling in plenty of interested readers as more and more people buy smartphones and want to protect their investment. Our reviewer gave this charger case a thorough testing and found it extended the iPhone battery life as promised.

Have you recently bought something you’ve found indispensable for home or mobile working? Let us know what you’d like us to review on the blog, especially if it’s your own product or service – it could turn out to be one of our top reviews!
