Building a better home business blog
Home business blog improvements
As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, we’re in the early stages of giving this home business blog a major overhaul. In particular we’re aiming to give it a cleaner look and make all the fantastic material, much of it contributed by readers, much more accessible.
Once we get to grips with the theme I’ll no doubt need to write some new material to link the content together in its new format, and we’re not quite sure how long the process will take.
In addition, I’ve embarked on Blog That Converts, Derek Halpern’s online training course. I’ve been following Derek for over a year now, and I have to admit that at first I found him loud and objectionable! But I kept hearing about him and in the end signed up for his Social Triggers newsletter.
Having tried out a couple of his suggestions and got good results, I realised I’d be missing a trick not to find out more. I’m not sure if success has mellowed Derek or if I’ve just got used to his full-on style, but now I find him funny and endearing, as well as full of great insights for a blog that reaches its target audience.
The first module of the ecourse went out on Monday and the work it entails is taking a good part of my brainpower. The training takes four weeks, and it looks as though it will give me an entirely new approach. As I said before, so far I’ve made it all up as I’ve gone along so it’s good to get some input from a master.
All this work behind the scenes means that I may not be posting as much as usual, but we’re quite sure it’s going to pay off in the end. So please don’t think we’re abandoning you. I’m working harder than ever to bring you a new and improved home business blog!
