Fabulous prize for Most Deserving Business
Most Deserving Business will win van and cash
As small business owners we all know how difficult it can be at times to keep on top of everything, and deal with all of the problems that the daily running of a business requires.
Whether it’s smaller issues like a delivery not coming on time or a card machine not working, or something larger like a break-in or criminal damage it can sometimes feel like you deserve a medal for getting through.
The good news is Motors.co.uk agree and have launched a ‘Most Deserving Business’ campaign. The third of their ‘Most Deserving’ series, (Motors.co.uk has hosted both a Most Deserving Local Hero and Student competition), the business campaign was launched in April to find the UK’s Most Deserving small business and give them a helping hand.
There are thousands of businesses out there, both big and small, and the van competition is fierce especially in this economic climate. Motors.co.uk are searching for a business under two years of age that goes that extra mile to please customers, to offer them a helping hand to further establish themselves.
Spokesperson Stephen Jury said: “We understand that there are many passionate and dedicated business owners who would benefit greatly from a new van and some funding to help get the business off of the ground.
“We want to celebrate our nation’s achievements, and running businesses is particularly challenging right now in the midst of an economic downfall with motoring costs are at an all-time high. By offering this chance to win an award, we hope we can give a business the chance to strive.”
So far they have been scouring the length and breadth of the country, seeking out nominations for local businesses with a little extra gumption and British pride, and to find the business worthy of the Most Deserving Business spotlight.
The nominations have included conventional businesses like bakeries and removals to more quirky enterprises like a cat cafe and mobile science classroom.
The prize for the lucky winner amounts to over £11,000, and includes a 2.2TDCi 260 Ford Transit with a year’s MOT and road fund licence, a full tank of fuel, insurance contributions, and internal racking and plying to kit the van out for its future job.
And as if that wasn’t enough, the winning business will have its brand imagery transferred onto the van and an encouraging growth prize to the value of £3,000.
The nomination and voting stages of the campaign have now closed and the final ten entrants have been whittled down to three. The results of the public vote and the final three businesses can be found here, and a vote by the Motors.co.uk panellists will determine the UK’s Most Deserving Business.
