Garden Office Week competition – win a copy of Shedworking

Just comment on this week’s garden office posts to enter

All blog posts this week will be on the subject of choosing and working in a garden office, something I know many home workers would ideally like to do.

A, who comes up with most of the good ideas around here, suggested it would be a nice idea to run a little competition over the week. And what could be more appropriate as the prize than the book inspired by the wonderful Shedworking website and written by its founder, Alex Johnson?

The prize
Shedworking: The Alternative Workplace Revolution was described by The Daily Telegraph as ‘The complete guide to relocating a business to the end of the garden’, so will suit you whether you’ve already made the move to a garden office or are still dreaming. A valuable addition to any home worker’s library, it’s lavishly illustrated and looks at ‘why shedworking is a greener way of working, improves work-life balance and accelerates your productivity’.

What you have to do
Sound appealing? We’re looking for the best comment left on the blog this week on the subject of a garden office.
All you have to do is leave a comment below any of the Garden Office Week posts. It could be:

  • a question for the author of the guest post on any aspect of choosing and building a garden office
  • a story of your own experiences of a garden room
  • your reason for wanting to move out of your house and work in a garden office
  • why you’d like to win a copy of Alex’s book
  • anything insightful, topical, funny, or that provides useful information about garden offices for other home workers

To enter you must be over 18 and a resident of the UK. The competition runs from Monday 8 April until 9 pm on Friday 12 April and only one entry will be considered per home worker. I will inform the lucky winner by email on Monday 15 April and you must reply by Friday 19 April in order to claim your prize.

Share your garden office questions, stories and daydreams and you might just win this covetable addition to your home office bookshelf!

  1. I love the idea of having a garden shed office we have limited space and I enjoy being outside. A shed would be a perfect solution!

  2. I already have the book and count myself out of the competition, but it’s a great prize.

  3. I’ve posted the winning comment in the Garden Office Week competition, by Tamsin Orr of Ambience Home Furnishings, as a blog so that more readers will be able to read about her successful move to shedworking, from rented business premises to ‘a rather glamorous shed’!
