You’ve got to be joking
I’ve no idea how it happened, but apparently it’s Thursday again! The last two Thankful Thursdays we’ve had celebration of our home working successes and the little things that make us happy. Today I thought it would be fun to share what makes us laugh while working from home.
In Work from Home I recommend a well-tuned sense of humour as one of the best resources a home worker can have. It’s all too easy to get bogged down, lose your sense of proportion and start to hate working from home when you live and work in the same place. There’s nothing like a good laugh to restore perspective and make you feel better.
I have an old friend, also mentioned in the book, who can be relied on to make me laugh when I feel least like it. My cats were great fun and Cleo, my plump little silver tabby, would throw herself onto my feet and roll around with pleasure when I came home. Who wouldn’t smile at a welcome like that? (A has never done it!) Watching TV comedy is an excellent way of pulling yourself out of a bad home working mood, the silly kind like Blackadder, that is, rather than the clever social observation kind that makes you squirm.
I’m hoping you’ll make this Thursday full of mirth by sharing your favourite jokes, funny films and mood restorers.

I agree Judy, you need a sense of humour or a way to escape and just have a laugh every now and then.
Between projects I pop on to twitter or facebook and always find an amusing comment or funny video to get things back into perspective.
The trick is to get in and get out quickly or I could be distracted LOL.
Have a happy Thursday!
love
